Stetson Mansion Decks the Halls, Walls and Ceilings for the Holidays!!

"A Christmas tour of the Stetson Mansion is an event!!

2014  is a huge collaboration with top Orlando designers, quilters and various merchants who have all lent the Stetson Mansion  unusual  talents or items. This year  will feature a frozen reception parlor, Mrs. Clause's quilt work room and ten other luxuriously decorated rooms.  The Stetson Company has sent sent  beautiful items including its most elu$ive diamond studded hat, the Diamante. This year again we have added decorations to the second floor.  Designer decorations from around the world will adorn the Mansion and the School House. Visitors will be guided through the first and second floors of the home by a knowledgeable tour guide, or maybe even one of the owners,  as holiday music from the baby grand player piano wafts in the background.  These enchanting tours  lead guests through the first two floors which include the 3 main bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and the secret master closet while being fed the history of the mansion, details of the decorations  as well as relating the inspiring story of the current owners extensive restoration.  Just when you think you have seen it all you are then treated to a visit into the original schoolhouse which has since been converted to  a Zen like cottage featuring a soaring 15 ft ceiling. Steps are involved. There is no elevator.

Magical and awe inspiring are the best words to describe the estate and tour. Christmas tours will start on November 15th and continue until January 15th.  All tours must be booked in advance, so make sure to check for availability.  The cost for the tour is $25+tax  and  will last approximately one hour.  Owner JT Thompson says,  “Every time I walk around the mansion or lead a tour this time of year I feel like a little boy filled with the enthusiasm and joy of Christmas. I still can’t believe that so many people want to come to my home and celebrate Christmas with me!"
